All PVC pipe is 10 bar (147psi) rated and most of the fittings are 16 bar (235psi). PVC is very versatile and easy to use. Simply cut the pipe to length, clean the ends with methylene chloride, removing all debris, apply glue to both the pipe and fitting - then push together.
Pumps, valves, filters etc can easily be connected by using the various BSP threaded connectors. Metric PVC pipe is widely used in horticulture and agriculture where non-potable (non-drinking) water needs transporting.
PVC is a low cost and effective way to plumb your irrigation supply.
